the 9th instant, I am directed by Secretary Sir John Pakington acquaint you that it has been now ascertained that the sum of £5.000 . paid in
the 20th November 1866, in respect of the September quarker contribution in and of Military Expenditure Hong Kong has been also paid into the ellilitary
Chest at that Station, and that under these circumstances the double payment will be applied in liquidation of the December quarte,
